2008 OAC Youth Scholarship
$1,000 each. Deadline: May 15, 2008.

Applications are now closed for the 2008 Ottauquechee Athletic Club (OAC) Youth Scholarship.  Each year the scholarship is awarded to two graduating high school seniors (one boy and one girl) who best meet the following criteria set forth by the OAC Board (see 2008 Application). This year, the scholarships were awarded to two Woodstock Union High School seniors.

Ask the Doctors Q&A Session
Saturday, April 1, 2006 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Kedron Valley Inn in South Woodstock

Sponsored by the Gifford Medical Center and OAC, Dr. Hank Glass, chiropractic physician, along with other Gifford medical providers from M.Ds and sports podiatrists to family doctors, acupuncturists, and more will be there to answer questions and give advice about sports-related health issues.   Gifford medical staff is providing this session free of charge to the public, because they believe that athletics is important to overall health. Attendees will have an opportunity to query doctors about those nagging little injuries they want to go away (or want to prevent). Come listen, ask a question, get to know the doctors, and socialize afterwards with OAC members over a pint of beer!

Spring Sports Expo at Union Arena (Woodstock)
Saturday and Sunday, April 1 & 2, 2006

The Expo will feature new and consignment sporting goods. OAC will have the opportunity to sell used gear at this Expo and help spread the word about our club.  Bring skis, tennis raquets, bikes, golf clubs, canoe's (we know you've been thinkin' of pulling that old canoe down anyway), ice skates, skate boards, polo sticks - anything powered by muscle. OAC sells it, 20% goes to the Arena for operating costs and the rest goes into fundraising for the track!

1st ANNUAL OAC HOLIDAY PARTY & YANKEE SWAP HOOTENANNY!

Our 1st annual holiday party was a great success.  Thanks to everyone for all the cheeses, pate, pizza, cookies, and holiday cheer!  The Yankee swap was especially fun (well, maybe not for Katie, who got stuck with the argyle neck warmer and Mara, who got all her gifts taken away!) with an historic map of Woodstock being the hot item of the night. 

We're planning to have more social parties in the future, so be on the lookout for announcements.  In the meantime, email us your suggestions for a celebrations.
